Edona Arnesen

Edona Emilie Arnesen is an agroecologist, systems designer, facilitator, writer, and “food system rebel” - and, depending on the day, a mix of farmer, baker, cook, and host. Relationships are at the heart of her vision for a future that is truly regenerative, where food production is understood as inseparable from both public health and ecosystem health - and from creating good, dignified lives for all beings. She always strives to live out her values and the changes she wants to see through her own actions and way of being in this world.

Edona has worked to build systems for direct trade between small-scale food producers and professional kitchens, advised public meal services on sustainable food, opened and run a restaurant and a farm bakery, presented her work at research conferences, and been named one of 30 guiding stars under 30 in DN's annual award of people who, through good ideas and action, contribute to making the world a little better.
